Photosynthesis - Georges-Vanier Cultural Center, 2014
PHOTOSYTHÈSE is an installation made up of DIY three-dimensional animals made with leaves and branches of trees collected from the ground in Montreal parks in the fall of 2014 . These mobiles were gathered around 4 painted canvases of animal species threatened with extinction: to the north (Polar bear), to the south (Plowshare turtle), to the east (Yantsé dolphin) and to the west (Halibut to black dots).
Materials: tree leaves fallen to the ground, rush (sedge), Japanese paper, resin, bird feathers, wire, pieces of vegetables, branches, acrylic, plastic straws, bicycle inner tubes, and other small items items found.
